I am excited to now be expanding my practice to include
The Havening Techniques™ and during my qualifying period* will be offering Havening at a reduced rate of £30
I have worked with some amazing clients over the years for whom counselling has been the opportunity to learn about themselves and discover a new way of moving forward with their lives; but for some, there were elements of trauma so deeply encoded that whilst they understood their reactions to certain stressors they were unable to work through them. When I discovered Havening it seemed like the perfect tool to help release clients from those memories.
Havening is a new field within psychosensory therapies, which uses sensory input to alter thought, mood and behaviour.
Trauma and Long Term Stress can be expressed in many ways, nightmares, anxiety, phobias, addictions, chronic pain and chronic fatigue are all possible responses to traumatic experiences whether long term or a single stressful event.
Please note : *I am currently undertaking the Havening Technique Certification Program to become a Certified Havening Technique™ Practitioner. The Havening Techniques™ have no affiliation with my membership of the BACP or my credentials as a BACP member. As The Havening Techniques™ is a new approach it is not yet registered as a complementary therapy in the UK.
Havening activates the brain's own potential to release trauma. Following sessions there can be significant results with the emotions and sometimes even the ability to recall the memory being extinguished.
Unlike other treatments for phobias and trauma such as Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, Havening relies on the therapist connecting with the client to create a safe relationship. This is vital in order to work through any underlying trauma which may arise during a session, so there is no script, or one size fits all solution.
Every session is tailored to the individual needs and experiences
of the client.

'Havening, also known as Amygdala Depotentiation Therapy (ADT) is going to change the face of therapy across the world. What used to take months to cure can now be done in minutes in most cases: PTSD, trauma, pain, depression and many more disorders. The initial study recently completed by King’s College London shows the remarkable effectiveness of this extraordinary set of processes. This is not to be confused with other psycho-sensory techniques, TFT, EMDR, etc. Whilst they are very good, Havening is light years ahead.'
